By Laura O’Leary

Ray Wilkins was critical of Newcastle’s attacking threat when grading their performance against Bournemouth on Saturday.

In his weekly Premier League assessments, despite awarding the Magpies a ‘B’ and he revealed he is yet to be convinced by Newcastle going forward.

The result caused Newcastle to slip into the bottom half of the Premier League, where they now sit in 11th.

After 11 games played, the Magpies have got themselves 14 points on the board, winning four games in the process.

However, more worryingly, Newcastle have only taken five points from the last 18 available and the Bournemouth defeat was the second successive loss.

Despite their current position, five points clear of relegation, Newcastle are among the lowest scorers in the league.

The Magpies have only scored 10 goals in their 11 games, meaning only six teams have scored fewer than them.

Everton also find themselves having only scored 10 goals in the first 11 games of this Premier League season.

After the international break, Newcastle travel to face Manchester United at Old Trafford.
