Reliable journalist: Tottenham revelation to beat Arsenal star to honour

Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks is set to receive the honour of being named in the England squad ahead of Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere when Gareth Southgate reveals his decision on Thursday, according to a reliable journalist.
The Press Association’s Simon Peach claimed on his personal Twitter account late on Wednesday night that the 21-year-old Spurs star, who has been a revelation in the middle of the park this season, will be given his second call up to the senior squad, having seen himself included for the last round of international fixtures.

His inclusion will see Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere, who has made a series of impressive displays in recent games, primarily in the Europa League, miss out on the chance to add to his 34 caps for the Three Lions.
Winks has established himself as a first team star at Spurs after being called into the squad following an injury crisis for Mauricio Pochettino, with Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele both being ruled out of action.
However he has been a huge success and has kept the Belgian enforcer out of the starting XI despite returning to fitness, with fans raving over the youngster’s display against Real Madrid on Wednesday.

He will be hoping to add to the one England cap he earned for his debut performance against Lithuania in October, as the Three Lions play friendlies against international giants Germany and Brazil at Wembley.
In other Tottenham news, Frank Lampard has described one of Winks’ team mates as one of the best in the world.
