Report: PL rivals on verge of double Tottenham swoop, hoping for imminent deal
By Harry Sykes
West Brom are close to securing a sensational double deal for Tottenham players Kevin Wimmer and Vincent Janssen, according to a report.
The Sun claim Tony Pulis is hoping to complete the £30million double swoop on Wednesday, with the club willing to sell and West Brom offering generous terms for the players.
It is claimed that Wimmer can move after the arrival of Davinson Sanchez from Ajax.
And it looks like Mauricio Pochettino is finally ready to give up on striker flop Vincent Janssen, who has disappointed since joining from AZ Alkmaar for close to £20million last summer.
Stoke are also interested in the 23-year-old striker, but it is claimed that West Brom are offering him the best deal.

Football Insider verdict:
This would be a fantastic deal if West Brom can get it over the line quickly. The pair might not be good enough to get a first-team spot in Pochettino’s Spurs side, but they’re fighting for the title. Both Wimmer and Janssen would walk into a lot of Premier League sides and would undoubtedly strengthen West Brom considerably. At £15million a piece, the two players could be seen as a couple of the summer’s best bargains. Janssen hasn’t had a long run in the Spurs side but came in on the back of an impressive record of 32 goals in 49 games for his previous club. It’s tough as a striker – if you don’t get off the mark quickly you’re never going to get a sustained run in a side, especially with someone like Harry Kane in front of you. If Janssen can hit the ground running at West Brom he could quickly prove Pochettino wrong.
In other Tottenham news, a Serie A club has entered talks with Spurs over a deal for this French speed machine.
