Nottingham Forest have rejected multiple bids from Stoke City for Ben Osborn and the player is set to stay at the City Ground, Football Insider understands.
Stoke were keen on signing on the versatile Osborn on transfer deadline day and tabled a series of multi-million pound offers culminating in £3million for the 24-year-old.
A source close to the club has told Football Insider that Osborn was understood to be interested in a move to Championship rivals Stoke, but Forest were reluctant to lose Osborn unless they matched their valuation for the player.
Forest boss Martin O’Neill is happy to keep hold of Osborn as he sees him as a valuable addition to his squad.
Osborn, who is under contract at Forest until 2020, has come through the ranks at Forest and has made over 200 appearances for the club.
