England great Rio Ferdinand has continued to hail Tottenham’s Eric Dier after he started for the Three Lions on Sunday afternoon.
The now 38-year-old brought up a Tweet on his personal Twitter account from 2015 where he stated each of John Stones, Michael Keane and Eric Dier were the best young centre-backs and tipped them for England international stardom.

The versatile Dier has developed into a defensive midfielder for England and started in the centre of the park against Lithuania, while Michael Keane and John Stones took the centre-back roles.
The defensive unit helped England keep a clean sheet against the 107th ranked team in the 2-0 victory, but Dier was highly criticised by fans watching the match.
The player has often also divided fans at club level, but manager’s are clearly holding a different opinion as he features on a regular basis for both Tottenham and England.
The former Sporting Lisbon man has featured in 26 of Spurs’ 28 league matches this season while taking his caps up to 17 for the Three Lions.
In other Tottenham news, Spurs have been tipped to sign this European goal machine who has already been capped by Germany at 21.
