Robinson: Rangers could be about to land 'a lot of money' from Morelos sale
Rangers could benefit from the sale of Alfredo Morelos if at least £13million can be secured for his services, according to Paul Robinson.
The former Spurs and England number one, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the club’s recruitment team may feel they can use the money raised from the sale of 25-year-old to enhance the overall quality of Steven Gerrard’s side.
Portuguese giants FC Porto are interested in signing Morelos this summer.
As revealed by Football Insider (26th June), Rangers are demanding £13million for their star striker.
However, Porto are not willing to part with more than £10million for the centre-forward who scored 17 goals in 44 appearances last season.
Morelos has two years remaining on his contract at Ibrox.

When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his assessment of Morelos’ valuation, Robinson said:
“If Morelos belonged to a Premier League club, £13million would be a cheap price but for a club like Rangers it is a lot of money.
“His future is highly dependant on the continuity plans that are in place. They recruitment team may feel they can bring in two or three players who would enhance the team with the Morelos money.
“His sale could be beneficial for Rangers in the long-run but for me, at £13million I would not be looking to sell him. He has been one of their best players over the past few years. It would be a risk to let him go.”
