Derby County winger Florian Jozefzoon has agreed terms over a season-long loan move to Rotherham United, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
The 29-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements at Pride Park and is now set for a move to Yorkshire.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Jozefzoon will sign the deal tomorrow and an announcement will be made ahead of Friday’s 5pm domestic transfer deadline.
This site revealed yesterday that the Championship clubs were in talks over a possible deal after the winger’s fall down the pecking order at Derby.
The Rams have signed Kamil Jozwiak from Lech Poznan and Jordon Ibe on a free transfer this summer and subsequently, Jozefzoon has not made a matchday squad this season.
He played 14 Championship games last season but has not started a game in just over 12 months.
The former Netherlands under-21 international joined the club from Brentford in July 2018 for a £2.75million fee plus add-ons.
Sky Sports reported at the time that Leeds United had an identical bid accepted for the winger but he instead chose to move to the east Midlands.
He caught the eye of the two clubs after netting seven goals and providing seven assists in 39 Championship games for Brentford during the 2017/18 season.
Rotherham boss Paul Warne is keen to bolster his attacking ranks as the Millers have failed to score more than once in a game this season.
In other Derby County news, Football Insider can exclusively REVEAL the Rams and Nottingham Forest have tabled offers for a regular Liverpool scorer.
