Siriki Dembele: Blackburn Rovers make contact with Peterborough after Bournemouth and Birmingham City bids rejected
Blackburn Rovers are plotting a late move for Peterborough attacker Siriki Dembele, Football Insider understands.
The 25-year-old has been the subject of bids from Bournemouth during this window and has rejected a potential move to Birmingham City.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that promotion-chasing Blackburn have enquired about Dembele as Tony Mowbray looks to add to his attacking options.

The wide forward is out of contract at Peterborough this summer.
On Friday (28 January), this site revealed Birmingham had submitted a £1.5million offer for Dembele and Peterborough were willing to accept it.
However, the attacker has no interest in joining the Blues.
Football Insider has also revealed Bournemouth had two bids rejected by Peterborough for the forward earlier in the window.
Dembele was a standout performer in Posh’s successful promotion push in League One last term.
He scored 11 goals and contributed 12 assists in 42 league games.
However, the London-born forward has not been as prolific in the Championship, with five goals in 24 appearances.
Dembele has missed his side’s last two games.
Though, speaking after Tuesday’s 2-2 draw with Birmingham, Darren Ferguson was quick to deny the player was left out because he was on the verge of a move.
He is quoted by YorkshireLive as saying “contrary to nonsense rumours about him being left out due to links with another club, [Dembele] was injured”.

Blackburn could be set to lose an attacker of their own before the end of the window.
As revealed by Football Insider on Thursday (27 January) Ben Brereton Diaz is on a shortlist of two as West Ham look to sign a new striker.
