Newcastle Untied flyer Rolando Aarons could depart St James’ Park this summer, according to a report.
The Shields Gazette claims that the 22-year-old’s future is currently unclear and that manager Rafael Benitez will assess him in pre-season.
It is understood that he could be loaned out of even sold on a permanent basis during the next couple of months depending on his pre-season performances.
Football Insider verdict:
Aarons was an extremely highly-rated talent a few years ago when he broke into the first team and was expected to become a regular. The England Under-21 internatonal is a left-winger with brilliant skill and also has blistering pace. He failed to impress during a loan spell with Italian club Hellas Verona in the second half of the 2017/18 season and his career appears to be at a crossroads already. Newcastle should stand by the rising star by giving him another loan move next season and preferably send him to a team in the Championship to enjoy regular first-team football. The wide man has the technical ability to make it in the Premier League in the future, but has been unfortunate with injuries and is crying out for a run of games. Benitez appears to be well stocked for wide options in the immediate futuer, but performing well out on loan could springboard Aarons closer to the first team.
In the latest Newcastle United transfer news, they are in talks to offload their powerhouse defender.
