Man United are set to play Sevilla away from home in the first leg of their Champions League Knockout game on Wednesday evening.
And Charlie Nicholas doesn’t think they’ll have it all their own way – in fact he’s predicting a narrow defeat for Jose Mourinho’s men in Spain.
Talking on Sky Sports, Nicholas said he was “chuckling” when Mourinho reeled off a list of injuries after saying that people shouldn’t moan when players are missing earlier in the season.
And he said that United’s opponents are “a bag of revels” sitting fifth inLa Liga but with a negative goal difference.
Nicholas thinks that United will get the crucial away goal tomorrow night, but will lose 2-1, although Mourinho would probably take that score which would make United favourites to get the job done at Old Trafford.
He also commented on Paul Pogba’s reported clash with Mourinho saying that the United manager doesn’t appreciate the “hairstyles and flicks” but that he would play and would be Sevilla’s most feared opponent on the night.
“Will he bring Paul Pogba back in? Yes, get him back in there,” Nicholas said.
“He loves delivering in the spotlight with his hairstyles and flicks. He doesn’t do it near enough and Jose does not appreciate that side of a player’s game, but the player Sevilla will be worried about most is Paul Pogba.”
