Sky Sports pundit: This is why cringey Tottenham goal celebration was good
By Will Butcher
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is a rare fan of Harry Kane and Dele Alli’s cringey celebratory handshake after claiming it shows the Tottenham duo’s camaraderie.
The Spurs duo have been criticised on social media for their handshake, after celebrating with the choreographed moves in the immediate aftermath of scoring in the 3-2 win over Everton.
However, former Chelsea striker Hasselbaink believes the handshake sums up the connection between Kane and Alli as they continue to shine for Spurs under Mauricio Pochettino.
“What that tells me is they have a bond,” Hasselbaink told Sky Sports’ Premier League Daily Show. “They have a connection when playing together and that they want to play together.
“It tells me that they like playing together and they want to go all the way, it tells me they have camaraderie.”

England international Kane broke the deadlock against the Toffees with a wonderful strike from 25 yards, before neatly sliding in a second in the second half to score his 24th of the season.
However, Romelu Lukaku got one back for Everton before goals from Alli and Enner Valencia came in the dying embers of an exhilarating match at White Hart Lane.
It remains to be seen if both Alli and Kane will re-enact their celebration if either of the two attackers score against London rivals Millwall in the FA Cup on Sunday.
A win against League One side Millwall will see Spurs progress into the final four of the competition with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea still in contention.
