Sky sports pundit predicts Newcastle v Sheffield Wednesday
By Dominic Toner
David Prutton has predicted Newcastle to draw 2-2 when they travel to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday evening.
The Magpies are hoping to secure automatic promotion this season and have a 10-point cushion over Huddersfield in third.
Rafael Benitez’s side have won their last two consecutive games over Burton and Wigan, which has put them on the verge of securing a top-two spot.
They will now turn their attention to a trip to Hillsborough, with their opponents chasing a play-off spot.
Sky Sports pundit Prutton is expecting a draw between the two sides and feels that it would not be a bad result for Newcastle.

“You can see Newcastle doing what they did to the likes of Huddersfield at Sheffield Wednesday, allowing them to dominate the ball and hitting them on the counter,” Prutton told Sky Sports. “Automatic promotion is paramount for Newcastle, but because of the cushion they have in the top two, and with Wednesday needing a result to stay in the pack, I think it will be a draw.”
Newcastle may be looking to get some revenge against Wednesday after they lost the previous meeting 1-0 at St James’ Park.
Glenn Loveens’ second-half header secured the three points for the Owls and their manager Carlos Carvalhal will be hoping for a repeat performance.
Meanwhile, the Magpies are on the brink of securing their return to the Premier League and have been the heavy favourites since the beginning of the season.
Benitez has managed to get the best out of his star players and 22-goal striker Dwight Gayle has played a major role.
