Charlie Nicholas: Koeman should join this club in the summer (not Barcelona)

Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas believes Everton manager Ronald Koeman should move to Arsenal in the summer.
Speaking live on Sky Sports 1’s Gillette Soccer Saturday, Nicholas admitted that the Everton chief would be the ideal replacement for Arsene Wenger, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
When asked where Koeman would be next season, he said: “If I get my choice it would be Arsenal. Arsenal have to change, they have to find an ingredient now and a balance that would make them contenders.
“At the moment, there is flair and nothing else, and when the flair doesn’t work, they don’t work. They’re broken. I think he [Koeman] would fix it.
“He would manipulate situations. He’s thinking about it all the time. I’m not saying Arsene [Wenger] doesn’t, but I think he would tell a few of the players some home truths. He would sort them out, he’s a big decision maker, a big-time game guy.

“For me that’s why he would be number one on my hit list.”
Wenger’s 20-year tenure appears to be reaching its climax after a disastrous period in Arsenal’s season that has left them humiliated in Europe and all but out of the Premier League title race.
There has been no official word yet of Arsenal’s plan beyond the end of the season in regards to the managerial position, but Nicholas believes that the Frenchman must make way.
A number of Arsenal fans are adamant that a new manager is the way forward for the club, after witnessing an embarrassing 10-2 aggregate defeat to Bayern Munich, and they have already made their feelings known towards their current boss.
Koeman, meanwhile, only arrived at Goodison Park at the start of the season, and Everton will be determined for him to stay.
But he has already been linked with the managerial post at Barcelona, with Luis Enrique set to depart the club at the end of the campaign.
