Best player in PL: Surprise Redknapp verdict on 'dream' Tottenham ace (not Kane, Alli, Eriksen)
Jamie Redknapp has claimed that Tottenham attacker Son Heung-min is the best player in the Premier League at the moment.
Talking on Sky Sports (Sunday, 1.30pm), Redknapp was talking about Son, who is often overlooked in the Tottenham team, behind stars such as Delle Alli, Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane.
However, the 25-year-old has been in a red hot run of form at the moment, with eight goals in 24 Premier League appearances this season.
He’s started the last 11 games in a row and scored six goals in this period, making him undroppable, despite only being on the fringes of the Tottenham team last season.
And Redknapp was full of praise for the South Korean attacker saying, “He must be a dream to work with as a manager.
“He is as good as any player in the Premier League right now.”
Son will be hoping to help fire his team to victory against Tottenham’s top-four rivals this afternoon.
A win would bounce Tottenham into third place in the league ahead of Liverpool, but a defeat would see them lose precious ground in the battle for a Champions League place next season.
The game kicks off at 4.30pm at Anfield and it is being shown live on Sky Sports.
