Manchester City attacker Luke Bolton is in advanced talks to join Luton Town on loan, Football Insider understands.
Bolton, who has come through the ranks at City, spent the second half of last season on loan at Wycombe Wanderers and made 10 appearances for the Chairboys.
A number of Football League clubs have enquired about taking Bolton for the rest of the season, but a source close to Man City has told Football Insider that Championship new boys Luton have moved quickly and are set to finalise a deal.
Versatile forward Bolton has yet to make his first-team debut for Pep Guardiola’s side, but he was on the bench for last season’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg game against Burton.
He also played for City against Liverpool in the International Champions Cup friendly last year, which Liverpool won 2-1.
City feel another loan move is the next stage in Bolton’s development so that he can get valuable first-team experience under his belt before returning to challenge for a spot in the City first-team squad next season.
