Sources: Winner named in Stoke City race to sign Matondo
Stoke City target Rabbi Matondo has agreed a deal to join Belgian side Cercle Brugge, Football Insider understands.
The Wales international is set to sign on a season-long loan from Schalke.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider Matondo has agreed a move to Belgium after a breakthrough in talks.
On 8th June, Football Insider revealed the Potters have been plotting a new season-long loan move for the attacker.
Matondo, 20, spent the second half of last season on loan at the Bet365 Stadium.
He scored once in 11 appearances for the club with his goal coming in a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.

Matondo has eight appearances for Wales under his name but was not selected in their Euro 2020 squad.
In March, he was one of three players sent home from Wales’ training camp for breaking FAW protocols.
The Welsh FA never explained the details of the offence but Matondo has failed to appear for his country since.
Matondo’s Stoke snub is the latest transfer blow the club have suffered.
There has also been a setback in their attempts to sign Liam Delap on loan from Man City.
First, this site revealed on 5th August Bournemouth had entered the race to sign the youngster.
Then, the next day it was revealed any move for Delap is on ice after he picked up an injury.
Cercle Brugge are currently sat seventh in the Belgian first division, one place below city rivals Club Brugge.
They are unbeaten in three league games ahead of the expected arrival of Matondo.
