Leeds manager Thomas Christiansen has confirmed that new striker signing Tyler Roberts will not make his debut in the game against Cardiff.

Christiansen was talking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Championship game with Cardiff at Elland Road on Saturday.

“We have made good signings in this period,” Christiansen said as quoted by Leeds Live.

“Two of them have already played and we also have Tyler Roberts, interesting and he will help the team for sure.”

“It’s a striker with the abilities, young, fast, good technique and can play in the wings also.”

However, when asked about whether he would make his debut against Cardiff, Christiansen replied, “Not for this game.”

Christiansen did go on to say that Roberts had been playing more as a striker, which is his natural position, but said that he had options on where he would play him.

He confirmed that Roberts would start training with the Leeds first team squad next week.

The Leeds v Cardiff game kicks off at 3pm on Saturday.
