Tottenham backed to agree last-gasp deal, update emerges on Savinho transfer being ‘resurrected’
Tottenham continued their mixed form this season following their dramatic comeback against Manchester City on Sunday (1 January).
Tottenham drew 2-2 with Man City, with two second-half strikes from Dominic Solanke helping them come from two goals down at half-time.
Thomas Frank is looking to strengthen his side before the transfer window closes on Monday (2 February).
Spurs are currently without several key players after being plagued by injuries in recent weeks.
Tottenham signed midfielder Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid at the start of last month, while Brazilian left-back Souza has joined from Santos.

Why Tottenham could agree deadline-busting deal
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider Tottenham could have resurrected a deal for Savinho if he didn’t get injured last month.
Savinho almost joined Tottenham in the summer transfer window before eventually agreeing a new deal with Pep Guardiola’s side.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Spurs’ transfer situation, Borson said: “I think given the Champions League situation, they should put themselves in the mix. But it’s very hard to find a player of the quality that they would want.
“I think had Savinho maybe not been injured at City, maybe that deal could have been resurrected. But not only is Savinho injured now, but Doku’s injured again for City.

“I think that probably having sold Bobb, they’d be reluctant to do a deal now anyway. But if you look around, there’s not that many deals that can be done in January.
“I know we’re in a post-Daniel Levy period, but they are the sort of team that can find a deal on deadline day. I wouldn’t write it off.”
Tottenham presented with transfer offer after Jhon Duran twist
It has been reported Tottenham have been offered the chance to sign Jhon Duran, with the striker looking to secure a return to the Premier League.
The Colombia international joined Al-Nassr in a deal worth around £64million from Aston Villa in January 2025.

However, Duran is spending the season on loan at Fenerbahce after failing to settle in Saudi Arabia.
It is believed the 22-year-old’s time in Turkey could be cut short to facilitate a return to the Premier League, but the window is set to close at 7pm on Monday.
