Tottenham expert names three first-XI stars who will leave this summer

Ange Postecoglou is set to sell several first-team players at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer to help raise transfer funds.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Alan Hutton explained that the club will have to sell to reinvest in the first-team squad.

The former Tottenham defender named Giovanni Lo Celso, Oliver Skipp and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as players that may be sold.

This comes shortly after Football Insider revealed (9 May) that the club had given the green light to Hojbjerg to leave after hiring a new agent.

Alongside Hojbjerg, Skipp and Lo Celso, Football Insider also reported that Richarlison could be sold for a £60million fee, amid the potential for a summer clearout.

Hutton explained that deals will be dependent on whether the money is right, but expects “a good number” to leave this summer.

You look at the likes of Lo Celso, these types of guys, people that are on the periphery of the squad,” he told Football Insider.

It depends on what kind of fee you can get in for them.

There will be several fringe players, Skipp, Hojbjerg, guys that can do a job but I think you have to sell to then reinvest.

Get rid of some of these fringe players, I think there will be a good number.

I think most people looking at the squad will be able to identify certain players. You have to sell them to then reinvest.”
