Tottenham fans name club's worst ever player, he has won 38 international caps

Midfield flop Paulinho has been named by Tottenham supporters as the worst player in the club’s entire history.
Football magazine Four Four Two identified the central midfielder as the most useless player to wear the Spurs shirt in its rundown of supporter-voted flops from each club in England’s top four divisions.
The now 28-year-old made the switch to north London in the summer of 2013 from Brazilian side Corinthians.
It is reported that he cost the club just under £17million and his price dropped down to £9.9million two years later as he made moved to Chinese outfit Guangzhou Evergrande.
Paulinho has actually been capped 38 times by national team Brazil, but it is clear that Tottenham fans do not think too highly of their former player.

“In terms of outlay and return, Paulinho rises to the top of Tottenham’s very deep pool of expensive non-talent over the years. The £18m Brazilian started reasonably well, scoring a last-minute backheel winner against Cardiff, but very quickly his ‘new Lampard’ tag became laughable,” the Four Four Two report read.
“The overriding memory of Paulinho is his unforgettable ‘shot’ against Burnley in 2015, which caused scenes of sheer disbelief in the away end. In another game against Norwich, he trapped a pass so poorly that it bounced up and hit him in the face.
“Some limited players at least put in the effort, but even that was beyond him; managers gave unsubtle nods towards him crying off injured before European games.
“Thinking about Paulinho makes me physically angry, and I’m glad he’s in China where I no longer have to look at him.”
Paulinho has built up a fine career in China since leaving Tottenham with 21 goals and five assists in 74 appearances for Guangzhou.
Additionally, he left Spurs fans impressed on Thursday evening after his performance for Brazil against Uruguay where he bagged a hat-trick.
However, after 67 apearances for the north London club during his two-year stay in England it would seem he would now go down in Tottenham folklore as one of the club’s worst players.
