Tottenham fans were feeling particularly cheeky on social media as they poked fun at the club after the announcement that Anthony Georgiou had signed a new contract with the club.
Spurs revealed the news on Thursday via both their official Twitter account as well as the official club website, with the young winger committing to a deal which is set to keep him at the club until 2020.

The 20-year-old is one of several bright stars at the club, and made his debut for the senior side earlier this season, appearing off the substitute’s bench during the 3-0 win over Apoel Nicosia in the Champions League.
While there was much delight from fans on Twitter over the club securing his future, many were concerned with the absence of a photo which shows the player with manager Mauricio Pochettino putting an arm around him while signing the deal, something which has become somewhat of a iconic pose at Spurs.

Aside from his action for the first team, Georgiou has four appearances for the under-23 under his belt this season.
