'Unreal', 'Worse than Soldado' – Tottenham fans react to reported striker deal
By Harry Sykes
Striker Vincent Janssen is on the verge of a move to West Brom, according to a report, and Tottenham fans don’t know what to make of the news.
The Sun claim Tony Pulis wants to bag the striker as part of a double deal, along with Spurs defender Kevin Wimmer.
The report claims that both players would go for £15million in a combined £30million double swoop.
Vincent Janssen hasn’t set Tottenham alight since his much-vaunted £20million move from AZ Alkmaar, scoring six goals in 39 appearances.
However, most of his games have been cameo appearances from the bench and he has showed glimpses of what he’s capable of.

Now it looks like Mauricio Pochettino has given up on the Dutch international, with West Brom ready to throw a Premier League lifeline to the player.
It is claimed that Pulis is hoping to tie up the deals on Wednesday.
Tottenham fans have mixed views on Janssen departing, with some asking whether it means Spurs will go back into the market for a back-up striker.
Others say that it would be good business, given his returns for the club so far and another compared him unfavourably to Tottenham flop Roberto Soldado.
Here is a selection of their reactions on Twitter:
As useless as he's been, what's the point of selling Janssen if we don't get anyone else is?

Still would be gutted about Janssen, but if poch isn,t going to use him then not much point keeping him…

Janssen will stay I reckon
I like him just needs a chance

Look like janssen and wimmer going and walker gone. So 3 out and 4 in. Thought we needed a bigger squad. One more player than last season

Buy back clauses needed! We would have to get a replacement for Janssen too though
— Scott (@scottdougie) August 23, 2017
if we're letting Janssen go, we must be in talks for a new backup striker

As much as a flop as Janssen has been we can't go into the season with only one first team striker, unless we have someone lined up!

Ill happily sell wimmer and janssen to west brom and use that money to buy a pacey attacker

I think if we make anything back on Janssen we're doing well, he quite often missed from 5 yards. Could be worse than soldado
