'What I've been waiting for', 'Huge': Tottenham fans meltdown as Levy meeting brings transfer reportedly close

Tottenham fans have reacted with excitement at reports that they’re close to signing Brazilian striker Malcom from Bordeaux.
It had looked like north London rivals Arsenal were going to seal a deal for the exciting winger.
The Independent reported that both clubs had bid for the player, but that Spurs were only willing to pay £31million.
Arsenal were closer to the £44.5m that Bordeaux wanted and he looked like he would be a replacement for Alexis Sanchez who is seemingly heading to Man United.
However, earlier today a BBC journalist announced that the Arsenal deal was off as they considered the player too inexperienced for the money that Bordeaux wanted.
David Ornstein tweeted the news on Friday morning on his official Twitter page:

Immediately following this, a reliable journalist who covers the Premier League for Brazilian media outlet UOL Esporte said that the Tottenham was not only back on, but close with a fee totalling £50m.
Caio Carrieri claimed that Malcom’s agents had met with Pochettino and Levy earlier this week and were “delighted” with what they heard.

Tottenham fans took to Twitter in excitement at the prospect of not only getting a hugely talented player, but seemingly snatching him from under rivals Arsenal’s noses too.
