Tottenham fans urge Pochettino to sign reported playmaker target (not Isco)
By Dominic Toner
Tottenham are interested in a move for Everton playmaker Ross Barkley in the summer – and the club’s supporters have urged Mauricio Pochettino to complete the deal.
The Daily Mail claim that Spurs are at the front of the queue to sign the 23-year-old, but the Toffees are keen on handing the England international a new deal.
Spurs fans urged the club to move for Barkley after his impressive performance for Everton on Sunday evening.
The attacking midfielder starred in a 4-2 victory over Leicester and produced an inch-perfect cross to assist teammate Romelu Lukaku for one of his two goals.

Another good display from Barkley, i genuinely believe Poch could make him as much as a goal threat as Alli.

Everton remained seventh in the Premier League table after their win at the weekend, but kept the hunt alive for a top-six finish this season.
The Toffees have had the likes of Lukkau and Idrissa Gueye shine at Goodison Park this campaign, while Barkley is another that has thrived under Ronald Koeman.
The creative midfielder has played in a more advanced role this campaign and been give the licence to influence his side going forward.
Barkley has now made 33 appearances this season across all competitions, scoring five goals and supplying eight assists in return.
He was one of the players heavily criticised by Everton fans after their recent 3-1 defeat to Merseyside rivals Liverpool in the league, but he has responded with a couple of strong displays.
Spurs already have creative players such as Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen in their side, but their supporters want to add Barkley to their squad in the summer.
In other Tottenham transfer news, the club’s senior figure is subject to a summer tug-of-war.
