Tottenham insider suggests ‘£30m’ will seal Sanchez deal in January

Tottenham could sell Davinson Sanchez in January if the right bid comes in.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

On 17 December, Corriere dello Sport reported Napoli have registered an interest in signing Sanchez, 25, in January.

The defender has made 14 appearances for Spurs this season and has scored one Premier League goal.

He received much criticism for his performance as Spurs lost to Mura on 25 November but has since worked his way back into the side.

Wenham claims Sanchez could go next month but suggested Joe Rodon is more likely to leave.

“I know Tottenham were trying to get rid of him in the summer,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“I would imagine Sanchez will be available for the right price.

“What that price is, is hard to say. He did cost us £42million, he was our record signing.

“We have had him for a number of seasons now but do I see Napoli coming in with a bid of £30million?

“I would say no. Also, Sanchez is currently playing for us so I would expect someone like Joe Rodon to leave ahead of Sanchez.”

A Spurs source told Football Insider earlier this month (4 December) Rodon has his heart set on leaving the north Londoners, either on loan or permanently, in pursuit of game time.

The Daily Mail reported on 7 December that Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has identified the Wales international as a potential target.
