'Unreal' - BBC pundit blown away by Celtic player display v Motherwell

BBC Sportsound pundit Tam McManus was blown away by the performance of Tom Rogic in Celtic’s 0-0 draw with Motherwell at Fir Park on Sunday afternoon.

Rogic, 25, was a constant threat to the home side and ex-Hibernian forward McManus was clearly impressed with the way that the Australia international was able to keep the ball under his spell in and around the Well box.

The attacking midfielder came close to scoring on a couple of occasions and his interplay among the other Celtic forwards was something that was hard to take your eye off.

McManus was left purring over the Aussie and took to his personal Twitter account on Sunday to rave about him.

Rogic has made 32 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops this term, scoring five goals and supplying eight assists.

Rogic is a very technically gifted player and it’s strange that Brendan Rodgers constantly overlooked him in the big games earlier this season – especially in the Champions League. The Aussie has just three league goals to his name this term and two of them have come against Rangers, proving that he is a big-game player. Rodgers’ decision to sign Charly Musonda in January was also an odd one. Rogic is one of three or four players capable of going a job in the No 10 role but Musonda was signed up on loan from Chelsea just to sit on the bench. That money should have been pumped into the defence.
