Walker-Peters reacts to Harry Kane’s message after Tottenham latest – ‘It’s completed’
Tottenham will keep an eye on Harry Kane and Kyle Walker-Peters this summer after contrasting seasons for their two academy products.
Thomas Frank has taken the reins at Tottenham ahead of their pre-season friendly against Luton on 26 July, but the Dane has plenty of work to do in the transfer market before that match at Kenilworth Road.
Spurs have ample full-backs at their disposal but Frank is keen to pad out his squad as they return to the Champions League, and Walker-Peters’ availability on a free transfer makes him an attractive prospect.
Mick Brown told Football Insider on 24 June that Tottenham are working to bring Walker-Peters back to North London, with the full-back set to remain in the Premier League after Southampton’s relegation.

Kane sends ‘next challenge’ message as Tottenham stars react
Walker-Peters is already close to several current Tottenham players despite leaving the club back in 2020, and he’s not the only former Spurs star who could be set for a Premier League move this summer.
Kane‘s form since his 2023 move from Tottenham to Bayern Munich has been flawless with 83 goals and 26 assists in two seasons, and Liverpool have been linked with a shock move for the England captain.
However, Kanes full focus for the time being is on Bayern’s campaign in the FIFA Club World Cup, and he posted on Instagram (24 June) after the Bundesliga giants suffered a shock Group C defeat to Benfica.
In a message liked by both Walker-Peters and Solanke, Kane said: “Not the way we wanted to end the group stage but part one complete, through to the knockouts!
“Looking forward to the next challenge ahead!”
Tottenham to prioritise striker hunt amid Kane developments
Football Insider Verdict
Although Walker-Peters is a full-back sought after by several Premier League clubs, Spurs already have Pedro Porro, Destiny Udogie and Djed Spence as full-back options as well as the likes of Archie Gray.
Walker-Peters’ versatility would be admired by Frank, but Tottenham are short of numbers further up the pitch and the prospect of Kane returning to the club could be more than just a pipe-dream this summer.
Liverpool were tipped to sign Kane prior to other contractual and transfer developments at Anfield, and though they’d be ahead of Tottenham in the race, Spurs fans can hardly be blamed for daring to dream.
