'Stay well clear', 'Overpriced' - West Ham fans not happy as PL man reportedly linked
West Ham have been linked with a move for Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater and Hammers fans have reacted with dismay to the news on social media.
Drinkwater only moved to the Blues last summer but after seeing his game-time vastly reduced in comparison to his time with Leicester City, the 28-year-old has grown frustrated with the situation.
The Blues signed the midfielder for £35million last summer and it is said that they will want to recoup most of what they spent on the title-winner – a fact that’s like to cause an issue for the Hammers board.
But supporters are seemingly unimpressed with the Blues midfielder for the most part.
Most think the former Leicester City ace is overpriced and wouldn’t be worth anything like the figures the champions spent on him, while others question whether his lack of game time makes him a decent prospect.
There were a number of messages which suggested that signing Anderlecht defensive midfielder Leander Dendoncker would be a better move for the club – particularly in terms of finances.

Whether it’s Drinkwater or Dendoncker this summer, the Hammers are in need of acquisitions in the centre of the park after seeing the position crumble under injury problems to a number of key players.
Here is what Hammers fans had to say on Twitter about the speculation:
He was overpriced to begin with

Just a personal opinion, but if we were to sign Danny Drinkwater this summer, then that would be such a 'meh' signing.

No way stay well clear at that price

For the money he will cost will it be worth it? For what he offers we could easily sign someone for half the money !

Would be nice if he came to us but don't think for a minute he'll leave Chelsea for us and dendorker is £20 million
