Noel Whelan insists Andrea Radrizzani is committed to Leeds United amid reports he is looking at investing in another club.
The former Whites forward, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claims many businessmen have different ventures and Radrizzani investing in another club is nothing to be worried about.
According to Italian outlet Tutto C, the current Palermo owners have opened ‘exploratory contact’ with Radrizzani after putting the club up for sale.
Whelan maintains that Radrizzani is fully committed to Leeds and growing the global brand of the club following more investment from NFL side San Francisco 49ers.
When asked if he was concerned about the report, Whelan told Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, “No, I don’t think it’s anything to be concerned about.
“Every businessman has business in other areas, that could be two football clubs if he feels it’s a good purchase.
“It’s doesn’t mean he won’t spend as much time with Leeds. We know he’s working very hard with the 49ers to make things happen and develop the brand of Leeds United.
“If he sees an opportunity where he can do something with another club in a business sense then that’s fine with me. His commitment to Leeds is 100%.”
In May 2017 Radrizzani bought Massimo Cellino’s shares in Leeds which gave him 100% ownership of the club.
The Whites currently sit 11th in the Premier League table and have the chance to break into the top half on Friday when they face Wolves at Elland Road.
