Whelan predicts Everton will make four 'quality' signings and 'the money is already there'
Noel Whelan claims Carlo Ancelotti is not under pressure despite a poor end to the season from his Everton side.
The former Leeds hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted Ancelotti will face pressure if things don’t improve next season.
Everton secured a tenth-placed finish in the Premier League after a final day hammering from Manchester City.
This comes as a huge disappointment considering the Toffees’ early season form.
In the early weeks of the Premier League, Everton were unbeaten and top until losing 2-0 to Southampton.
Even in March, the Blues were one point off the top four with a game in hand.

However, Whelan claims Ancelotti is not under pressure and tipped Everton to make three or four quality signings this summer to rectify a poor end to the campaign.
“I don’t think he’s under pressure,” Whelan told Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs.
“Everton are still a work in progress. The players he’s signed have only had one season there.
“He still needs to bring in more of his own players. He will have learned a lot about certain players this season and where he needs to strengthen.
“There’s a foundation that Ancelotti has laid down, this was never going to be a one-season wonder where they get straight into Europe.
“It’s been a very strange season for a lot of clubs but the foundations have been made.
“When he came into the club he won’t have said that he’ll have Everton up there in 18 months. It takes longer than that.
“He’s brought in three or four players of his own. I’m sure the money is already there now to make three or four more quality signings who will make the difference.
“If he’s not made it after that, then there’s pressure. Next season is the crucial one for Ancelotti.”
