Why Newcastle should raid PL rivals for 30-year-old striker
COMMENT By Derek Smithson
Newcastle should consider making a move for Leicester forward Leonardo Ulloa in the summer transfer window to bolster their squad.
The Magpies are looking to improve their options ahead of a top flight return and Rafael Benitez could do with strengthening his attacking options.
Dwight Gayle, Aleksandar Mitrovic and Daryl Murphy are already at the north-east club, but they should look to bring in a few more experienced Premier League players to help.
Leicester ace Ulloa would be the perfect addition to the squad and the Argentinian would surely be desperate for a move away from the King Power Stadium.
The 30-year-old vowed he would never play for the Midlands club again in January after they denied him a transfer move, despite being on the fringes of the squad.

He did play in a Foxes shirt in the second half of the season and remains a very popular figure with supporters.
Ulloa is certainly one of the most underrated members in the side and deserves to feature more frequently, making just 23 senior appearances across all competitions.
The Argentinian is fantastic in the air and also a clinical finisher, something that would sit well with Newcastle fans.
He has scored 20 goals in 96 appearances for Leicester, but that strike rate would only improve if he got more game time.
In other Newcastle transfer news, they are in the race to sign a Champions League defender.
