Report: Championship rivals plot swoop for Leeds international as they eye PL return

By Harry Sykes

Leeds are bracing themselves for an offer for midfielder Eunan O’Kane from Championship rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to a report.

Football news site HITC claim that Wolves have turned their attention to the 27-year-old first-teamer as manager Nuno continues his squad overhaul

Nune has already brought in eight new faces to Molineux, including paying £15million for midfielder Rúben Neves from Porto, but he is still keen to add more to his team.

According to the report, Nuno sees O’Kane as a player that could add another dimension to his team as they look to battle for a Premier League place after a disappointing last campaign.

Wolves haven’t played at the top level since 2012, when they were relegated as bottom of the league.

Wolves finished 15th in the Championship last season, and only seven points off relegation – which had looked a possibility at points in the season.

Leeds manager Thomas Christiansen has also been busy in the transfer market this summer, with eight new signings too including Vurnon Anita and the latest new recruit Ezgjan Alioski.

No official offer has been made yet and there’s no word as to whether Christiansen considers O’Kane, who has seven caps for Ireland, surplus to requirements after his new arrivals.

In other Leeds transfer news, the Whites are on the verge of a deal for this left-footed speed machine.
