Chinese club Beijing Renhe have tabled a sensational offer of £11million plus add-ons for Alfredo Morelos, according to a Scottish broadcaster.
Bill Young, who is sports presenter for Scottish station Rock Sport, reported an update on the Chinese Super League’s pursuit of the Colombian striker on his personal Twitter account on Friday afternoon.
Following reports in the established media of Rangers rejecting a £9million bid for the Colombian, Young posted a series of tweets about talks between the Glasgow giants and Beijing Renhe for Morelos advancing.
He explained that his sources have told him that the newest offer on the table for Morelos amounts to £11million “up front as a full payment” plus performance related add-ons.
Can any team never mind Rangers turn down £11million paid up front as full payment and who knows what sell ons. My source telling me he believes that’s what on offer. I did say earlier the Chinese had a big suitcase.

This comes after the Scottish Sun reported earlier today (Friday) that the cash-rich Chinese outfit have upped their previous offer by £1million to £9million for Morelos in an attempt to get a deal done by the end of the month.
It is reported that Rangers have rejected what was a fourth official bid for Morelos, who, as revealed by Football Insider this week, is also to be offered a jawdropping contract worth in the region of £38,000-a-week after tax.
Morelos has scored 15 goals from 30 appearances this season after signing from Finnish club HJK Helsinki last summer for around £1million.
Football Insider Verdict:
This has now reached the point where Rangers should take the money and run. Morelos is a promising player and could eventually develop into a very good one, but £11million up front for such a raw talent is a jawdropping sum. Moreover, it would also smash the club’s record sale, which is the £9million from Tottenham in January 2008 for right-back Allan Hutton. If Mark Allen can secure a minimum £11million for Morelos, plus with power to add, it should fill fans with hope that he is a negotiator who knows what he is doing.
