Pajtim Kasami could be set to wave goodbye to Nottingham Forest after a disappointing stay and return to parent club Olympiacos.

According to ESPN, Premier League duo Hull and Crystal Palace are fighting over Olympiacos player Luka Milivojevic, with just two days remaining in the window.

With the Serbia international potentially set to leave Olympiacos, Kasami could be recalled by the Greek outfit to replace Milivojevic by providing cover in the middle of the park.

The impending signing of Aston Villa’s Aaron Tshibola is also likely to push Kasami down the pecking order, after the Nottingham Post claimed the two clubs had agreed a deal.

With Tshibola’s arrival, Kasami could look to jump ship and end his nightmare spell with the two-time European Cup champions by rejoining his parent club’s title challenge.

Forest are unlikely to fight to keep Kasami, either. The 24-year-old has failed to feature since January 2 with concerns beginning to arise over the future of the Switzerland international.

The former Fulham star has failed to hit the heights that were expected of him when brought to Nottingham by French manager Philippe Montanier, who has since been sacked.

Along with a number of summer signings, Kasami’s form has been a key factor in Forest’s dismal Championship campaign that currently sees them sit in a lowly 19th place.

Even if the Hull and Crystal Palace deals come to nothing, Kasami could be on the way out.

Forest’s number 22 could join Serie A outfit Bologna, after transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio claimed on his website that the Italian side were interested in reigniting his career.

Either way Kasami’s immediate future looks in doubt at the City Ground.
