Alfonso Pedraza sends Twitter message to Leeds fans ahead of Newcastle clash
By Will Butcher
Alfonso Pedraza has urged his Leeds teammates to remain strong in the heat of battle as they go up against high-flying Newcastle on Friday evening.
Pedraza, 20, is expected to start on the left side of midfield in a match that could prove crucial at the top of the Championship, with Leeds in a lofty fifth place while Newcastle sit second.
Posting on his personal Twitter account, on-loan winger Pedraza told Leeds fans that he wants the Yorkshire giants to stay united as they look to secure a place in the top six.

On loan from La Liga side Villarreal, Pedraza has been included in Garry Monk’s starting eleven six times since joining the Yorkshire outfit on deadline day in the January transfer window.
Scoring once against Birmingham City during a 3-1 win, Leeds’ number 29 will be looking to find the back the net for the second time against Rafa Benitez’s side.

Former Swansea boss Monk will be buoyant after watching his side stop a run of two successive defeats following his side’s comfortable 3-0 victory against Preston at Elland Road last time out.
That could give the former Champions League side momentum as they go up against Newcastle, who lost 2-1 to Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough last weekend.
However, Newcastle’s 2-0 win against Leeds in the first half of the season will remain fresh in the memory of fans, as Pedraza and the rest of the Leeds squad look to consolidate their place in the top six.
