Benitez delivers fitness update on Newcastle pair ahead of Sheffield Wednesday
By Dominic Toner
Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez has explained that he is not prepared to play DeAndre Yedlin and Rolando Aarons until they return to full fitness.
The pair have both returned to training as they look to recover from their individual injury setback.
The Magpies have an important league match away to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday and Benitez has insisted he is not prepared to risk Yedlin or Aarons.
“Yedlin has trained today, Rolando has trained, but we don’t want to risk them until they are fully fit,” Benitez said, as quoted by the club’s official Twitter account.

The 23-year-old right-back has been sidelined recently with a hamstring injury, but teammate Vurvnon Anita has stepped in to cover him.
He has played a big role for Benitez’s side this campaign and will want to be involved in the latter stages as they try to clinch automatic promotion to the Premier League.
Meanwhile, left winger Aaron has been out for the majority of the season with a serious knee injury and is closing in on finally making his comeback.
The 21-year-old is highly rated at St James Park, but his injury blow meant he made just five appearances at the beginning of the campaign.
Newcastle can take another giant stride towards promotion if they beat Wednesday and the depth of their squad has really been highlighted this season.
