Tottenham fans have reacted with bemusement at the news that Cameron Carter-Vickers has been sent out on loan again, after being recalled from Sheffield United.
At United he made 17 appearances in the Championship this season, scoring just the one goal.

Sheffield United are currently in the play-off spots in sixth in the Championship, with Ipswich just four points behind them in 12th.
The news was announced on the official Tottenham Twitter account on Friday morning.

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder did explain why Carter-Vickers had been recalled from his club, revealing that with new signings he couldn’t guarantee him game time for the rest of the season.
He said that he didn’t think it was fair to keep him at the club and he wanted to keep a good relationship with Tottenham.
