Nottingham Forest have confirmed that they have terminated Gboly Ariyibi’s loan deal at the MK Dons.
He moved to Stadium MK in the summer on a season-long loan but there was a clause which would lead to his return if invoked by his parent club.
Nottingham Forest confirmed that they had activated this clause on Wednesday afternoon.
The news was announced on the official Nottingham Forest Twitter page.

Football Insider verdict:
Loan moves are terminated for a number of reasons, usually because the player isn’t performing, he isn’t getting played or he is needed by his parent club. No official reason has been given yet. Ariyibi made 28 appearances for the MK Dons, scoring seven times, but has missed the last few games. The 22-year-old hasn’t made an appearance yet for Nottingham Forest and it remains to be seen if he is set for another loan move or whether he can force his way into the senior squad.
