Steven Gerrard is considering a move for former Liverpool right-back Jon Flanagan, and fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news.
The Scottish Sun claims that Gerrard is a big fan of the defender, who has been at Anfield for eight years, and has the free agent on a list of summer transfer targets.
The report also claims that a move for Flanagan could see Rangers sell current right-back James Tavernier, with Gerrard said to be open to offers over £3.5million.
Flanagan has made over 50 senior appearances for Liverpool, and won a full cap for England, but spent the second half of last season on loan at Bolton where he made nine Championship appearances.
His time at Liverpool came to an end earlier this month when he was released by manager Jurgen Klopp, and now it appears that Gerrard has eyes on his former teammate.
The majority of Rangers fans seem keen on the move, with some saying he’s a major upgrade for the side, although others are hoping his arrival doesn’t mean Tavernier will be leaving.
Here are the best reactions from Rangers fans to the news:
Gerrard knows him very well, he wouldn't bring in a bad egg and as you say massive upgrade in what we have, cover for LB and RB.

Please say it’s not to replace Tav? It’s to be competition for him

Excellent if true

Seems far more likely he'll be a starter if we're spending money on him. Won't be surprised if Tavernier ends up being sold this window.

From a football point of view it’s a cracking move to bring him to Rangers getting him on a free it’s a no brainer
