Grealish tipped to quit Aston Villa for 'big money' after agent update - pundit
Noel Whelan has tipped Jack Grealish to leave Aston Villa in pursuit of silverware this summer.
The former Leeds United striker, exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the 25-year-old would move if a “big-money offer” came in.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Grealish’s agent Jonathan Barnett revealed the midfielder “loves Villa” and has had “no thoughts” about leaving this summer.
However, as revealed by Football Insider, the 25-year-old has privately told friends he would be open to joining Manchester City this summer.
It is understood City are prepared to launch a big-money bid to try prise Grealish from Villa Park and could even sell Raheem Sterling to fund a deal.
As such, Whelan admitted he could not see the boyhood Villan sticking around if Pep Guardiola’s men came calling.

Whelan told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “If a big-money offer comes in for Jack Grealish, I think he’s leaving. I really do.
“He’s been very loyal to the club he supports service I think now, like Harry Kane, this is a pivotal time in his career where he needs to go and win things. Now are Aston Villa going to win the Premier League? No, no they’re not.
“If he’s going to progress and become that star and that player we all know he is and can be. He can be better as well. He’s shown his worth this season and how important he is as a player. Also shown his worth for England and how important he is for the national side.
“I think this is a really big season coming up for Jack Grealish in terms of progressing and being the player we know he is. Also, in terms of winning things and being at a successful football club.
“Not just being at a club because you supported them as a boy. You’ve been there, now it’s time to do something for yourself, which is win trophies.”
Grealish has scored seven goals and contributed 12 assists in 23 games for Villa this season.
However, he has missed the last 11 games with a lower leg injury.
