Revealed: Toure convinced Leeds player can be PL sensation
Leicester City coach Kolo Toure is convinced Leeds United loan star Ben White can be a Premier League sensation, Football Insider can reveal.
The former Arsenal, Man City and Liverpool defender is urging Rodgers to blow the competition out of the water and sign the 22-year-old this summer.
White is earning rave reviews for his performances for Leeds while on a season-long loan from Brighton & Hove Albion and a Leicester source has told Football Insider that Toure is driving their club’s interest.
Toure, who is a member of Rodgers’ backroom staff at the Foxes after holding a similar position at Celtic, is a big admirer of the centre-back.
He has been instrumental in ensuring White has been brought to the attention of the manager of the Premier League high flyers, who are third in the division and well placed to figure in next season’s Champions League.
Football Insider revealed yesterday morning that Leicester have set their sights on White ahead of the summer window.

Brendan Rodgers is in the market for a new centre-back as he looks for cover and competition for first choice pairing Caglar Soyuncu and Jonny Evans.
Evans has started all 25 of Leicester’s Premier League games this season while Harry Maguire replacement Soyuncu has been in the line-up for 24 of them.
Rodgers has barely used his central defensive back-ups, with 36-year-old Wes Morgan making one league start among 13 appearances and Filip Benkovic loaned to Bristol City for the second half of the season.
Morgan is also out of contract in the summer and his playing future is in doubt.
Leicester came close to signing White’s Brighton teammate Lewis Dunk, although he turns 29 in November and that interest may not be resurrected.
Whites is also on the radar of the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United after his consistently excellent form in this season’s Championship.
White has only played twice for the Brighton first team and, prior to joining Leeds last July, had spent the previous two campaigns on loan in League One and League Two at Peterborough United and Newport County respectively.
The centre-back has started all 32 of United’s league matches this season and remarkably played every single minute of the Championship campaign.
In other Leeds United news, it can be REVEALED that the club are set to announce a blockbuster deal this month after extensive negotiations.
