Mills: Morelos has handed Rangers 'massive' advantage over Celtic in bid to sign £15m-valued ace
The presence of Alfredo Morelos means Rangers have a “massive” advantage over Celtic in the pursuit of Santos Borre.
That is the view of ex-England full-back Danny Mills, speaking exclusively to Football Insider as both Glasgow giants race to sign the striker.
Football Insider revealed on 22 June Rangers had set their sights on signing Borre who is set to become a free agent at the end of the month.
This site then learned the next day Celtic have also registered their interest in signing the River Plate ace.
The Argentine side value Borre at £15million.
He is currently on international duty with Colombia at the Copa America.

Rangers star man Alfredo Morelos is also in the squad and Mills has claimed that could mean Borre would prefer a move to Ibrox.
He told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Just knowing somebody at the club, these sort of relationships help from the year dot.
“When you meet up with a fellow international, especially if you’re going somewhere with a different language, who you know already and can help you settle in. These types of things are massively important.
“It always used to happen on international duty, players would say ‘Oh, do you fancy coming to join us? It’s great?’ ‘What’s it like?'”
“Where would you go? Somewhere where you know nobody and you don’t speak the language? Or, do you go somewhere where there’s a confidant or a friend that can help you integrate? Not just into the football club but into life itself in a new country.
“It makes a world of difference to have somebody there that you know and are around.”
