Sources: Tottenham in transfer mission for Nottingham Forest star Brennan Johnson
Tottenham are keeping close tabs on Nottingham Forest star Brennan Johnson, sources have told Football Insider.
A senior Spurs scout watched the 21-year-old score in an impressive display in his side’s 1-1 Premier League draw against Wolves on Saturday.
The Londoners are monitoring Johnson ahead of the summer as they weigh up a potential move.
The wide man has stood out for improving Forest in his debut top-flight campaign with eight league goals and 10 in all competitions.
The forward part of Forest’s youth setup before spending a season on loan with Lincoln City in 2020-21.
Johnson has made 34 appearances across all competitions for Steve Cooper’s side this season.
The recently promoted side are currently 14th in their first season back in the top flight with 27 points from 28 games.
Although Forest are four places clear of the relegation zone, only two points separate them and 18th-placed Leicester City in the drop zone.
The 18-year-old signed his first professional contract with the Seagulls in October and put pen to paper on a four-year deal.
Spurs are also preparing for interest in their star striker Harry Kane this summer, but are adamant that they want to keep him in London.

On 27 March, Football Insider revealed that Thomas Tuchel is pushing Bayern Munich to bid for Kane this summer and has made him a top priority.
Man United are also incredibly keen on bringing the England captain to Old Trafford as they look to bring in an A-list forward this summer.
