Tottenham attacker to leave within days as Pochettino sanctions quick move – report

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino will sanction a loan move for 19-year-old attacking midfielder Marcus Edwards, according to a report.
The Guardian claim the player will move to a Championship club and the deal is expected to “move quickly” in the next few days.
The player is still thought to have a future at the club but Pochettino thinks he has got to the stage in his career when he needs regular first-team football and he sees the Championship as the ideal place for him to develop.
Football Insider verdict:
This is the right move at the right time for Marcus Edwards. The 19-year-old isn’t ready for the Tottenham first team and he hasn’t made a Premier league appearance for the club yet. The Championship is the ideal ground for him to develop his game and prove that he has what it takes to return to Tottenham and stake a place in the senior squad. It’s a tough, tough league, and Pochettino sounds like he already has a destination in mind, with the report claiming the deal will be concluded quickly. Whoever gets Edwards will be getting their hands on a raw talent.
