Sources: Blackpool agree six-figure deal to sign Crewe Alexandra star Dale
Blackpool have agreed a £500,000 deal to sign Crewe Alexandra winger Owen Dale, Football Insider has learned.
The 22-year-old has been in high demand this summer and was the subject of a bid from a mystery Championship club earlier this month.
A Blackpool source has told Football Insider the club have agreed a six-figure transfer fee with Crewe and are now in a race against time to complete the deal before tonight’s 11pm deadline.
Football Insider revealed back in April the likes of Sunderland, Preston, Blackburn and Ipswich were all keen on the attacker after a fine 2020/21 campaign.
However, Crewe had set a £1million asking price on the hitman’s head
As detailed by this site, Dale felt the League One side were pricing him out of a move and made that clear to the club.

The north west outfit have now accepted a six-figure bid for his exit, with his contract situation forcing their hand.
Dale signed a new two-year contract in 2018, which included the option for Crewe to extend that deal by another two years.
Cheshire Live reported that the club chose to active this clause last summer with his current deal now set to expire in 2022.
Dale scored 12 goals and contributed three assists in 48 appearances for Crewe last season.
He was awarded four gongs at the club’s end of season presentation, including Player of the Season.
However, he has only played three times this season and has not featured in the club’s last three league fixtures.
